In
Libraries, Schools and other Locations,
Ms. Patricia Presents:
CONCERTS
for children and families that include a great variety of interactive
songs—a cappella or accompanying herself on guitar, Autoharp and rhythm
instruments.
THEME PROGRAMS
& WORKSHOPS
Bully Free!
is a 45
minute interactive program that can be specially adapted for groupings of
elementary school children assemblies, classrooms, or other small groups
settings. In song and story this entertaining program refers directly to
what bullying is and how to respond to it and reduce it. Patricia will work
with schools and other organizations to incorporate aspects of their
training and messages regarding bullying into the program and to reinforce
related messages. A CD recording of program songs is available.
What’s in a
Song?
is
an interactive workshop that covers basic song elements and often uses a
familiar tune to help participants write at least 1 verse of their own song,
expressing themselves through music and words. The experience demystifies
the songwriting process in a simple way, without using technical terms.
Depending on group size, age, experience and time availability, the workshop
varies and lasts 1-3 hours.
AND
-
Patricia will work with schools, libraries, community groups and others to
customize her current offerings and create new concerts, programs, workshops
and community arts projects. As much as possible, she will accommodate
varied time frames, schedules and other group needs also.

The music was
terrific—everyone listened well, even kids who normally do not…a great
reinforcement of the anti-bullying climate we’ve tried to create at Starr.
Good sense of humor. The kids loved it! — Starr Elementary
School, Plainwell, MI
Patricia…involves
children in her performances. She is able to work with a variety of ages,
using a mix of patience and enthusiasm to arouse children’s curiosity and
interest.
— J. Wright, Kalamazoo Nature Center
Excellent use of
stories and songs…great creativity…engaging and fun songs. The words of the
songs were meaningful but simple—good. I appreciated how you used the ideas
the children have been studying. —Hoppin
